Last Friday we (pre-) celebrated the German
Reunification aka Tag der Deutschen Einheit DP-style! If the amount of German
flags did not fully ensure that everyone knew we were celebrating Germany, the endless
Schlager playlist surely did the trick. After some Germanized pizza and sushi we
watched the greatest Swedish martial arts comedy short film ever made about
fighting the evil Germans, of course. Beer and Schlager music prolonged the
evening till the early morning hours so that we actually celebrated Tag der
Deutschen Einheit on the 3rd of October.
